Is innovative sun shade set to become the crowning glory in the architect's collection?
"Freeline" from the back view
Economically, the idea of extracting even more qualities from an existing product is a special treat. In real life, this is virtually impossible because products are enhanced and tested all the way up until the market launch to incorporate the best features and equipment. It is probably the stubbornness of WO&WO, combined with the backing of long-standing customers, that has made the company determined to respond innovatively to special requirements and introduce yet another design product.
Originally, "Freeline" was a special adaptation for whirlpools. Wall mounting was impossible because the whirlpool application asked for a stand-alone configuration. It goes without saying that the sun shade was not allowed to compromise the visual effect of a pool surrounded by nothing but openness. The specifications demanded protection against UV radiation, heat and the weather. With its elegant design, this free-standing sun blind, which can be operated at the push of a button, targets architects who had to offer their clients parasols, even if they were expensive. The convincing advantages of "FREELINE" are high-quality fabrics that remain clean and dry even when retracted, as well as the high wind resistance (wind class 2) and the tailored shading. Perhaps the bather would like to see Botticelli’s venus from the whirlpool?
In Austria, the designer piece is on display above the whirlpool in the Blue Lagoon prefab house park. If you are outside Austria and interested in this new product, you are invited to request pictures and information at www.woundwo.at
